Privacy policy

This policy covers adeft.ai and the forms on it. It is written in plain language so you can read it in a few minutes. We will update it before Adeft Processing opens to shops, and the version that governs a processed file will be the data-handling terms your shop receives in writing before any file is accepted.
Who we are
Adeft Inc., 930 Montgomery Street, Suite 302, San Francisco, CA 94133. We are a technology company. We are not a mortgage lender, mortgage broker, or loan processor, and this site does not take loan applications.
What we collect, and where it goes
The waitlist form. Name, work email, company, role, the states you are licensed in, funded loans per month, the share of your files with self-employed or complex income, how processing is done today, your loan origination system, an optional phone number, and one line about what is worst today. Submitting the form sends one email to the founders. We use it to reply to you and to place you on the list, and for nothing else.
Booking a call or an interview. Scheduling runs on Cal.com. It collects your name, email, and the time you pick, under Cal.com's own policy. For borrower research interviews we keep your contact details only to schedule and follow up on the interview. We ask before we record. Your name is not given to any lender or broker.
The newsletter. Building Adeft is hosted at building.adeft.ai by our newsletter provider, which handles your subscription under its own policy. You can unsubscribe from any issue.
Site analytics. We use PostHog to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the page, an approximate location from your IP address, your browser type, and clicks on a few named buttons. We do not sell this information.
Email you send us. If you write to security@adeft.ai, press@adeft.ai, or privacy@adeft.ai, we keep the thread so we can answer it.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your form entries with any lender, broker, or advertiser. We do not use anything you submit on this site to train models.
Please do not send
Loan numbers, Social Security numbers, account numbers, or borrower documents. This site is not the place for them, and we will delete them if they arrive.
Who else holds it
The vendors that run this site's form delivery, email, scheduling, newsletter, and analytics hold what passes through them. We will name them on request.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@adeft.ai and we will delete your entry within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at privacy@adeft.ai. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you those rights by law, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.
Changes
We will post the date of any change at the top of this page. A change that matters will also be sent to anyone on the waitlist.
